The protagonist was a distinguished employee at a major corporation, but due to a certain incident, he left his post. He felt like fleeing from society and decided to peacefully live off his savings for a while. He looked for a reasonably priced property as rent in urban area would prove harsh. What he found was a rural area, Anoyama, located away from the city. He arrived in Anoyama with the intention keeping away from others until his positive outlook of life had recovered, but there he comes to know Tsubasa, Misao and Kaede. His life takes a complete change from what he had pictured. He comes to live a life of playing daily with the trio who are on their summer vacation. But through these encounters, he would also come to know himself... Touko, a widow who keeps her lost husband in her heart, keeps refusing to get remarried. Since not even her son wishes for a new father, she is set on living the rest of her life as single. But due to meeting the protagonist and seeing her son get attached to him, she begins to have a change of heart. Meanwhile, danger befalls the cafe that Touko operates. And then..................
